@wingnut & MidNightGreen...

Jack Ikegwuonu is a two-time All-Big Ten first team CB. He came to UW as low end recruit, redshirted in 2004, was first showed flashes of talent as an Honorable mention freshman All-American in 2005.

That said, he's probably best remembered for running down Darren McFadden from behind in the 2007 Capital One Bowl (http://youtube.com/watch?v=R7Hem8WbjvI at about the 1:30 mark).

He might have had the talent to make it in the, but questions about his health and run-in with the law will certainly give teams pause. The fact that he regressed some this year after an outstanding 2006 season certainly doesn't help either. The saddest part of the story is that he really could've benefited from another year in year college to show his maturity both on and off the field. Most scouting reports indicate that it would probably have solidified his status as a first-day pick; now, he's facing the prospect that he may not even make it into a camp.

for all of those who just cant seem to understand how this draft process works let me explain it to you. Jack Ikegwuonu had a very impressive season were he established himslef as a legit cover corner in the big 10. If you take a closer look at the top corners in the big 10 Ikegwuonu clearly was better then PSU Justin King, and a close second to Maclome Jenkins. So like many Ikegwuonu gambled on his future and lost with the injury in January, but he hadn't lost it all. Yes when he came out his grade started out as a third rounder, but did anyone think Dominique Rogers-Cromartie from Tenn St. would be a potential first round pick in January. Ikegwuonue lost his opportunity to raise his draft stock, but the kid can play; just ask James Hardy who King a potential 2nd rd pick got schooled by Hardy all day. Lastly Antonio Cromartie was picked in the first round after loosing his entire junior year with a knee injury and now is playing a pro-bowl level. I’m not saying Ikegwuonue has his type of athletic potential but the point is teams have gambled on players like this and it has paid off just give him a chance. And he is no Adam Jones

*Jack Ikegwuonu..... This guy shouldn't have entered the Draft PERIOD! I understand that there's no standout cornerbacks in this years NFL Draft. But this guy was red shirted as a Sophmore. So he was only given the opportunity to showcase his skills as a CB this previous season. Had he stayed and came out after his Senior year then he may have been talked about enough to make it into the first round. This league is littered with players who had one good year in college so they came out and stunk it up in the pro's.

Hopefully this guy isn't Pac-man Jr.

actually, I don't believe that to be the case Nolen...this was an isolated incident, that was incited by his brother. This x-box was supposedly originally stolen from them and they went to get it back...Now he was there, so he's not innocent, but this in no way makes him the next Pac-man.

Say your buddy was nailing Suzy Wrottencrotch back in 1999 and she was smokin' hot. Let's say you happen to run into Suzy at the local Cracker Barrel and she now weighs 315lbs... you going to make fun of your buddy for nailing a fat girl?

And what in God's name were you doing in Cracker Barrel???

The point is: the team that drafts Ikegwuono shouldn't get the Turd Watch points. What's in the past, is in the past.
