How can Mel Kiper make an absolute statement like that? It just puts yourself in a bad position. Sure, Jake Long can end up like Joe Thomas.
But he can also end up like Robert Gallery, who can still play but just … well, isn’t too good. Saying there WON’T be anything (a bust) is not too smart. The NFL draft is not an exact science.

Maybe Carson Palmer should worry about the Bengals under acheiving yet again. For the recieving corps. this guy has, his offense was very subpar. The Browns were a more exciting team than the Bengals, They had a better record, and they split the season series (Thanks alot D.A.) Palmer needs to shut his yap.

According to Mel Kiper’s theory, no one is ever a bust. The receiver you drafted sucks, make him a 3rd or 4th option. Defensive end can’t get to the Quarterback, move him to OLB. QB sucks…try punter

That’s right jansel, nobody gets as pampered as Carson Palmer, with his O-line and all-star receiving corps. And yet the excuses for the Choker still run like water — it’s NEVER his fault when the Bungals lose, no matter how many game-ending picks he tosses. Keep on swallowing the hype, all you unsophisticated fans, keep on believing when the guys on TV tell you how great he is.

Haha Kiper with a bold call. I like his style.
Gallery isn’t as bad as everyone makes him out to be. This year will be his best year. He hasn’t had much help at all in the past.
Palmer doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about anymore. “Chad will back me up…right? …right Chad?”

Palmer is a horses ass, running his fool mouth. Well, at least he doesnt have to worry about getting his ass kicked in the locker room by talking smack about the browns instead of a teammate.
Enjoy the cellar, cincy!

I’d rather worry about how my offense is going to put up points with only one good WR than worry about how many primetime games teams are or aren’t getting. Besides, considering all the primetime games that the Bengals got for having that one good season, you’d think Palmer would be a little more understanding.
