With receiver Cedrick Wilson long gone, Steelers wideout Nate Washington has an opportunity to enhance his standing with the team.
He’ll do so for at least the 2008 season after signing his one-year tender offer on Wednesday. The move was announced by the team earlier today.
Washington was an undrafted free agent in 2005, and he has appeared in 33 career games, with five starts. Unless he gets knocked down the depth chart by a rookie or a free agent to be signed later, Washington likely will be the No. 3 receiver behind Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes.
Not bad for a guy who went to college at Tiffin.

I don’t if it is butter on his hands from eating some T.O. popcorn when he is on the sidelines or if his hands are made of stone. The man has plenty of ability and has made a few amazing catches, but he also has dropped routine catches. One of which would have been for a touchdown. Hell, maybe it’s his eyes. Either way, I wouldn’t let hold my child for very long. Go Stillers!
