Oklahoma wide receiver Malcolm Kelly, whose last workout was the subject of much scrutiny, had another workout today in Norman, Oklahoma.
According to Gil Brandt of NFL.com, Kelly ran 40-yard dashes timed at 4.63 seconds and 4.65 seconds “on what the scouts considered to be a fast track.”
Kelly had previously run in 4.68 seconds and 4.75 seconds on what he felt was a slow track.
Today Kelly also did the short shuttle, finishing in 4.15 seconds, the three-cone drill, finishing in 6.83 seconds, and the 225-pound bench press, completing 14 reps.
Brandt reports that three teams — the Browns, Packers and Giants — had representatives on hand. In addition to running the 40, Kelly caught passes from former Nebraska quarterback Eric Crouch, and Brandt reports that he “looked good catching the ball,” grabbing 21 of the 22 catchable passes Crouch threw him.

This guy is bad news. I hope he falls to the third round.

I hope the Packers don’t take him.
Last year, Packer fans were hoping we drafted a wide-receiver or running back. This year, I’d have a fit if we drafted a WR in the 1st.

I’m not surprised the Packers are interested. At 6′3″ and 224 pounds, the guy put up good numbers for a TE. He could “stretch the field”. Not to mention the fact that if he can catch balls from Eric “I won’t play unless I can play QB” Crouch, he could catch them from anyone.

Maybe he should try roller blades? Or lets see… 40 yards is 120 feet, so if he could some how jump off the 12th floor of a building and survive the fall, he would most likely post the fastest 40 ever.

After reading this i checked out snopes.com and everyone can rest soundly knowing that this article is an urban legend. Eric Crouch has never thrown 22 catchable passes.
