That’d be incredible if Jonathan Stewart fell to the Packers, I would definitely be very excited about it, I am not certain if they would do it, but it would give us quite the dynamic backfield.

I think that if Derrick Harvey fell to #12 (or farther, as in this example) the Vikings would be working hard to trade #17 and Denver’s 3rd that the Vikings have for #12 in order to secure Harvey. It’s unlikely that Williams will be selected before #17 anyways, so Denver could recoup their pick and get Williams at a lower cost.

I can only laugh at this as a Jets fan. It makes sense to me based on the history of the franchise that we would walk away from this year without one of the ” big 6 ” but as we seem to be making the right moves this year I wil remain optimistic. I wouldn’t mind if this mock played out but with the Jets taking Matt Ryan. Heres to McFadden or Vernon!

I don’t think that the picks for the Vikings make much sense.
First off, Dustin Keller is nothing more than a glorified WR, with zero blocking skills and the system that the Vikings run is one that requires good blocking by its pass catchers, especially the TE. So, that pick makes absolutely no sense at all.
Second, the Merling wouldn’t do any good for the Vikings. He’s not much of a pass rusher and that’s what the Vikings need in a DE. They already have a line that’s chock-full of guys who can stuff the run. In other words, while Merling is a good DE, his ability as a pass rusher at the next level is fairly limited. As a result, the team would be much better off getting one of the many good pass rushers who will be available in the 2nd round (Jackson, Avril, Groves, ect) and picking someone who will actually be useful for the team in the 1st… like Brian Brohm.

This has got to be a joke. Explain to me why, with at least Quentin Groves available, the Titans would take a linebacker. Because he’s from UT? Linebacker might be the Titans’ strongest position.

While I’m sure many Eagles fans would want to see a WR drafted, I’d be shocked if Andy Reid and the Eagles don’t trade up for Chris Williams. The Eagles loving taking Linemen, their last 4 first rounders have been an O or D lineman.

(former Seahawk) Paul Moyer would bet his remaining testicle that Jake Long won’t still be around at No. 5. Panthers definitely won’t select Felix Jones; it’s unlikely they’ll select any running back, and if they do, it won’t be a guy who’s physically similar to DeAngelo Williams. Offensive line is more likely. And I think your way too high on those two receivers — the tiny guy and the slow guy.

Florio has a better chance of getting pregnant than the Eagles taking a WR in the first round. No way.
Especially if Albert is still on the board, as you have him. You can put down the crack pipe now.

Crappy Vikings pick. The Vikings need a crash end, not a run stopping end. Branden Albert would be a much better choice. He would provide competition for Ryan Cook at RT, be a possibly replacement for McKinnie at LT, or he could stay at guard and allow Anthony Herrera to switch to center if Matt Birk can’t get a contract done.

No way the Bucs are taking a MLB in the first round mikey, they have a solid young guy at MLB right now by the name of Barrett Ruud. You can do better then this.

Alright Bears pick with Ryan Clady and Chris Williams off of the board. I have a feeling that they would strongly consider Branden Albert in that situation though. It would likely come down to he and Mendenhall.
Also, in reality, I could see the Bears trading up with Buffalo if more than 1 OT goes in the top 10. That way they get ahead of Denver to take whoever is left between Clady and Williams. They also have a history of doing some draft day trades between Buffalo as well as a spare 3rd round (#90 overall) from dealing with the Chargers last year to use as ammo in a trade up.
It works well for Buffalo to since they can still fill a lot of needs at 14.

Brendon Albert at #23? No way, Jose! New England may snap this guy up way before that. He will definitely be in the top 15 on everybody’s board. Pittsburgh doesn’t like to trade up, but that’s the only way he ever sees the inside of the home locker room at Heinz.

I find it hard to believe Oakland will take McFadden with Fargas, Rhodes, Bush, and Jordan all there.

C’mon, really? Some of these picks are kinda funny. No way Rivers ends up in Buffalo. They have 2 bigger pressing needs at WR & CB

Cowboys aren’t drafting wr and rb with their 2 picks. Atl will take a QB or DT. only way Al doesn’t take Mcfadden is if Howie’s so is around.

Yikes!!! The strongest and probably only position The Buffalo Bills can say we are all set is Linebacker, look for the Bills to take a DE, CB or possibly reach for a Big Wideout.

oldchuck, the Steelers are willing to trade up if a specific guy they like is there. They traded up for Polamalu & Holmes. I don’t see it happening this year though, as they only have 6 picks & need an infusion of depth across the board.

I know you put a lot of time into your draft value chart but do you think any teams would consider making a straight swap of picks or adding something to a high first round pick just to move down to a cheaper slot?

RB is not a glaring need for the Packers, but if Stewart were to fall that far, it would be hard not to select him. Even though CB is probably the “need” position, Thompson will select the best avalable player.

Worst mock draft ever? Maybe not, but its the worst one I’ve seen on-line this year. First order of business - your #2 pick. If Jake Long doesn’t go to Miami, he’ll get scooped by the Rams for sure. Mark Bulger is one hard hit away from becoming Trent Green’s brother-in-law.
#3 - if the Falcons don’t reach for Ryan, they’ll take Dorsey who should still be available.
#11 - The Bills are gonna take that WR outta Michigan State unless they can trade down… to take the kid from Michigan State.
#13 - Felix Jones? GTFO, noob. That’s hands-down the silliest pick on this bungled mock. Jones ran a 4.4 40, just like Mendenhall and Stewart. Thing is, he’s nowhere near as big/strong. Pass the pipe, Florio, you don’t need any more.
#16 - Balmer? No way. The Cards are gonna take Jenkins, I know it.
Both Cowboys picks are horrible, you don’t have them taking a single CB. Were you just throwing darts or something? This mock draft should’ve been released on April 1st…
