Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has asked for a big receiver, and maybe he’ll get one.

They don’t come much bigger than Louisville’s Mario Urrutia, a six-foot, five-inch wideout who ran an out pattern from his final year of eligibility.  Urrutia visited the Steelers on Monday.

But maybe Urrutia should have stayed in school.  The USA Today Sports Weekly NFL Draft Preview ranks Urrutia at No. 30 among receivers.  The Sporting News draft guide pegs him at No. 39, and projects him as a fifth-round prospect.

The knock on him, per Sporting News, is that he’s an upright runner, and that he lacks the “flexibility, agility and quickness” that NFL teams want.

Since 1989, the Steelers have used eleven second-day picks on wideouts.  None have done anything significant for the franchise.
