With the 2008 schedule coming out in just a few hours, the leaks are beginning.
Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers will meet on a Monday night in December.
It’s not known whether the game will be played in Chicago or in Green Bay. It’s also not known whether Brett Favre will un-retire in time to play quarterback for the Packers.

Regardless of whether Favre plays, ESPNHD will probably show the game in 4:3 with pictures of him on the pillar bars to promote their original movie “Brett Favre: God Under Center.”

Hopefully for the Bears, Jim McMahon will unretire and play QB for them by then.

Go Bears, a 2-14 season is ok as long as those two wins are against the pack!!

As a life long Packer fan with in-laws from Chicago…..it means more to Bear fans to beat the Packers than the other way around. Don’t get me wrong, its still a great game because of the tradition, but to most its just a game. The Bears have no other rilalries to call their own so I can see it from that point of view.
In the eyes of most Packer fans, the Vikings are the bigger rival.

Packers against the Bears in December? Pointless game… the NFC North will already be won by the Packers or Vikings.

As a Packer fan I do feel that the Bears are our biggest traditional rival, but I would be more than happy to lose both games to them EVERY year and go 13-3 while they are hovering around the .500 mark. It is funny how Lovie’s main goal was to beat the Packers and not to make the playoffs. By his standards last year was a raging success??

We should have this game earlier in the season. All too recently, one team is good, and the other sucks. Early in the season, there will be pure excitement. Remember that game where Rex didn’t try? That wasn’t cool.

A lot of these Monday night football games look like duds right off the bat. You know what IS a good idea though? That 49ers and Arizona Cardinals game. For some strange reason, those games are always siiick. Maybe that can get Greenie and Golic to announce ..

funny how you cheeseheads don’t view the games against the bears as important now that you are losing to them.I seem to recall the team and thier fans acting as if they had just won the superbowl when they beat the bears on new years a couple of years ago when the game meant nothing to the bears. it did not matter that the bears had secured home field advantage thru the playoffs. it was treated like the bears had given up and were doomed in the playoffs simply because they lost to the favres. as it turned out unlike the farves this year the bears used the home field to reach the superbowl. yet when they beat the packers twice it realy did not mean anything.guess what it was only 1 year for you guys and unlike last year I don’t think everyone on the bears defense will be injured so don’t get so full of yourselves just yet. and remember lord farve won’t be there to bail you out should you go back to sucking this year. the bears will be back!
