The Pats giving up a 5th round pick for Adam Seward? Huh!

If I'm the Panthers, I'd have to be thinking, "Did we miss something about this guy? Is this a comment on the LBs available in the draft? Or are the Pats just screwing with our heads?"

I think the Cowboys increased offer includes:
Bigger boxes/bags of $1 bills
VIP passes to select "gentlemen's clubs"
Deluxe stripper poles in his new house
Studio time to work on his rap album
A private cell/police car backseat

It most likely is a bad crop of quarterbacks, but you never know until, well, years down the line. What if the first 5 taken all end up really, really good?

Also, for the Atlanta Falcons, if Glen Dorsey is there, it miight be smart to take him. But if the decision is based upon looking at Chris Redman and Joey Harrington ... then the answer is simple: Draft Matt Ryan.

Might the Steelers look for a draft-day trade with the Falcons?

This is a link to a Q&A with Trib legendary hack Scott Brown. Scottie doesn't even take the time (read "have the wherewithall") to make a quick check of the current NFL Draft Value Chart that shows

Stillers
23rd Pick - 760 points

Falcones
37th Pick - 530 points
48th Pick - 420 points

(Note: I'm trusting that the Falcones actually have the 37th & 48th picks.)

Rarely do teams cough up 190 value points in draft day trades.
Seldomly do the Stillers make blockbuster draft day trades.
Rarely do I bother to read Scott Brown.

Mike, I kindly ask that you refrain from linking garbage articles by hacks to your site.

The Broncos should have brought Vanderjagt in last season. He would have gotten along great with Todd Sauerbrun.

Some teams never learn their lesson.

Just by reading the first two posts, I'm very confused. But, truthfully, I came in hear to say that this was the worst mock I have seen to date this year. Hopefully,KY was being sarcastic.

How long does it take Mike Smith to determine "how he feels" about Harrington and Redman? Timmy Lupus could outperform those bums.

I don't see the Cowboys taking a receiver before a cornerback. Same with the Vikings taking a receiver before an o-lineman or defensive end. I hate to say it but Gosselin's mock draft was no good. There were a couple picks that made sense, like Felix Jones will be in Big D hopefully, but most of this mock draft didn't make much sense. Oh yeah...Jacksonville taking a QB in the first round? That may have been the dumbest part of his mock draft. And I don't see Tight End being Tennessee's most galring need, either.

Gosselin once again proves that it's not what you know, it's who you know. His mock drafts are sheer idiocy until magically, the night before he gets a moment of clairvoyance (i.e. his sources start talking) and nails the NFL draft. General rule of thumb is not to listen to anything he says until the day before / morning of the draft.

i.e. "The Vikings select WR Devin Thomas in my mock because they need speed on the outside." (paraprashed) - huh, didn't we just sign Berrian to big buck to do that?

My....Goodness.

This Rick Gosselin ("Could Keith Rivers really be drafted before Chris Long?") is a complete blithering idiot.

The healine is not even the most glaring idiocy on his board. Much larger ones are, in no particular order: Denver taking an RB in round 1 when this position is the least of their needs and Mike Shannahan never takes an RB in round 1 (his ego won't allow it); Tampa taking some unkown RB in round one when their biggest needs are WR, CB and possibly defensive line (in order to maintain their renewed elite status); Jacksonville taking a 1st Round QB after just signing Gerrard to a $60 million dollar extension; San Diego taking an LB in the first when every other mock draft guy (after finally doing some research) has finally realized the the Chargers have much bigger needs at OT, CB, safety and even NT; the Giants taking a slow mouthy WR when they have clear needs at cornerback and linebacker.

This might be the worst mock draft I've ever seen.

Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News is the best Mock Drafter in the country. His mocks are very accurate.

If he says Rivers will go before Chris Long, I believe it. He'll have a couple more mocks though before the actual draft.
