Just as the “Days Without An Arrest” meter was creeping back to double digits, it can be re-set to zero.
Thank you, Reagan Mauia.
The Dolphins fullback has been charged with misdemeanor battery after allegedly punching a man in the face. Mauia was arrested on Friday.
The victim apparently visited upon Mauia the ultimate indignity of “looking at” him. According to the arrest affidavit, Mauia asked the man “what the f–k he was looking at” before allegedly decking him.
Mauia was a sixth-round draft choice of the Fins in 2007. He played college football at Hawaii.
Fins V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells has declared that he wants no “thugs and hoodlums” on his team. (Unless they’re really, really good football players, like Lawrence Taylor.)

6′-0″, 270#. He’s a big boy! In 2007 he had 4 carries for 5 yards total one of which he fumbled. With that kind of production, and now an arrest, he’s probably gonna be stuck in Lodi again.

The Real LT was not a hoodlum nor was he a thug. He was a drug addict.

So when he has 60,000 people in the stands “looking at him” is he going to jump in there and start swinging ?

IS. The Real LT *IS* a drug addict. Brett Favre can tell you that you don’t just stop being a drug addict one day. It’s something that you have to deal with for the rest of your life.

Calling LT a “thug” or “hoodlum” is far fetched. Like mentioned above, he had/has a drug problem. No one thinks Brett Favre is a “turd” even though he was one in Atlanta during his “BucketHead” days.

“No one thinks Brett Favre is a “turd”
Wrong. I and many others think Farve IS a turd.

“Unless they’re really, really good football players, like Lawrence Taylor.”
Or potentially good, but mostly washed up, players like Joey Porter.

Reagan Mauia is my brother in law.
I’ve been reading all these comments people around the world has been posting on diffrent sites. What i keep reading is cut him,He’s a thug, we fin fans have enouth problems with out him, He’s a punk peice of ****. Well i just want every one to understand i know that he’s in a position where he is to be held at a higher standard then most and to be a role model. But just cause he’s in the Nfl don’t change the fact that he is human and as we all do we make mistakes and bad choices. acording to the paper he hit this guy and then fled i havent had a chance to talk to Reagan but im sure there more to this story then we are being told Reagan isn’t the tpe of person to just hit someone for nothing off the feild he’s a laid back mellow guy that dont have a short temper and is a good father to my nefew im sure he left so that it didnt turn in to more then it already was. he was arrested and didnt get a DUI so that shows he wasn’t drunk. So give the guy a break if you look at his passed in college and high school he hasnt had any problems at all always been someone to look up to. now he will have to deal with the courts and his coach and upper management from the fins camp and most likely be suid by the guy he hit.. so in one second a stupid choice was made that could cost him everything he loves and worked for this will be something he learns from not something the he will repeat who knows the guy he hit might win a lawsuit and get a hundred thou and be able to change his life with the money ( might be the best thing that ever happened to the guy) i know i would let anyone hit me for as little as 5,000 lol if your a true fins fan please stand behind Reagan and let him know you support him and know that he made a mistake (AGAIN ALL HUMANS MAKE MISTAKES GIVE HIM A BRAKE) im tired of people that dont even know him leaving comments im his wifes Brother and again ill tell you he dont have a bad temper off the field he very gental and quit on the feild hes a animal stand by your fulback

Now that we’ve had an interjection from Mauia’s extended family, i vote that his entire family be incarcerated and held without bail.
I believe Miami can file a motion to retain a pro-rated portion of Reagan’s signing bonus, which was a 5lb package of David’s Sunflower Seeds.
