Just as the “Days Without An Arrest” meter was creeping back to double digits, it can be re-set to zero.

Thank you, Reagan Mauia.

The Dolphins fullback has been charged with misdemeanor battery after allegedly punching a man in the face.  Mauia was arrested on Friday.

The victim apparently visited upon Mauia the ultimate indignity of “looking at” him.  According to the arrest affidavit, Mauia asked the man “what the f–k he was looking at” before allegedly decking him.

Mauia was a sixth-round draft choice of the Fins in 2007.  He played college football at Hawaii.

Fins V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells has declared that he wants no “thugs and hoodlums” on his team.  (Unless they’re really, really good football players, like Lawrence Taylor.)
