I made the mistake the other day of asking folks not to send me any more e-mails asking when the 2008 regular-season schedule will come out.
And I’m probably making a mistake by mentioning it again.
Anyway, in the hopes of getting fewer e-mails asking that question, I sent an e-mail of my own to NFL spokesman Greg Aiello earlier today.
And he told me not to send him any more e-mails asking when the 2008 regular-season schedule will come out.
Actually, he didn’t say that. Instead, he said that the schedule will be released “possibly next week.”
NFL Network is still scheduled to air at 4:30 p.m. EDT on April 17 a two-hour edition of Total Access, which presumably is the tentative time for the release of the schedule and the analysis of the matchups.

There is nothing on Earth quite as stimulating as staring at an NFL season schedule 5 months before the first game is played.

Dear NFL
Please advise the schedule ASAP as it is hampering our equipment installations.
Thanks,
Patriot Spycam Department.

Why don’t they release the schedule during the draft?
The draft is the most boring thing to watch unless your team is on the clock. Cleveland fans don’t even need to wake up until day two of the draft.
Heck, the Chargers only have a first round pick and they don’t pick again until round five, barring a trade.

“Possibly next week?” What is this, a presidential election in Zimbabwe?

It will be Thursday. We are timing the signing of Chris Henry to coincide with the schedule release. Less bad PR if it goes under the radar.

There has got to be someone in PFT Nation smart enough, or geeky enough, to hack into the NFL computers and pull out the schedule. Unless of course, they are making changes after the owners meeting and the proposal for more division games later in December.
