The folks who own the “BANG” night club in Cincinnati have issued another press release.  This one comes off as an effort by the proprietors of the establishment to avoid getting sued by one of the Bengals players whom they essentially accused of tearing up the club on March 29.

Previously, “BANG” pointed a finger at Chris Henry, Chris Perry, and Domata Peko as guys who caused unspecified damages.  They’ve now cleared Peko.

“To clarify an earlier press release, BANG Nightclub states that although Mr. Domata Peko was present at the club on Saturday, March 29, 2008, his behavior was not unruly.  Further, any association made by media outlets or others between Mr. Peko and those persons who engaged in unruly or abusive behavior is incorrect.  We thank Mr. Peko for his assistance in resolving this matter and wish him and the Cincinnati Bengals success in the coming season.

“BANG Nightclub is an upscale establishment that strives to treat all guests equally.  BANG expects its guests to treat one another with class and respect.  Accordingly, BANG will not tolerate unruly or illegal behavior.”

In a prior press release, “BANG” said that the three players were escorted out of the club, strongly implying that each of them were involved in whatever it is that went down inside the place.

Curiously absent in the clarification are Henry and Perry.  Presumably, charges might still be pursued against one or both of them.
