The folks who own the “BANG” night club in Cincinnati have issued another press release. This one comes off as an effort by the proprietors of the establishment to avoid getting sued by one of the Bengals players whom they essentially accused of tearing up the club on March 29.
Previously, “BANG” pointed a finger at Chris Henry, Chris Perry, and Domata Peko as guys who caused unspecified damages. They’ve now cleared Peko.
“To clarify an earlier press release, BANG Nightclub states that although Mr. Domata Peko was present at the club on Saturday, March 29, 2008, his behavior was not unruly. Further, any association made by media outlets or others between Mr. Peko and those persons who engaged in unruly or abusive behavior is incorrect. We thank Mr. Peko for his assistance in resolving this matter and wish him and the Cincinnati Bengals success in the coming season.
“BANG Nightclub is an upscale establishment that strives to treat all guests equally. BANG expects its guests to treat one another with class and respect. Accordingly, BANG will not tolerate unruly or illegal behavior.”
In a prior press release, “BANG” said that the three players were escorted out of the club, strongly implying that each of them were involved in whatever it is that went down inside the place.
Curiously absent in the clarification are Henry and Perry. Presumably, charges might still be pursued against one or both of them.

Is it just me, or does the name “Bang” not really lend itself to the monniker of an “upscale establishment”? Kind of like Swank is more upscale than Barely Legal because it’s got a glossy cover.

Roughly translated: “Thanks for the nice cash payment, Mr. Peko. Have a nice day.”

Matt Leinart says Swank is rubbish, but on the other hand, he’s a big fan of Barely legal.
ALLEGEDLY.

So would it be inappropriate to say Chris Henry’s career has ended with a BANG? Sorry, couldn’t resist. And is it just me or does seeing the word BANG over and over in all caps, annoy the hell outta anybody else?

Not really. I work in Detroit, so I’m kinda used to seeing or hearing BANG all the time. I’m numb to it. And no, that was perfectly appropriate and a pretty good pun to boot.

I seriously doubt Peko was involved in this brouhaha at all. This is the same man that pulled off the highway on his way to church and pulled a man from his vehicle after his car flipped on the highway, saving his life just a few months ago. Contrary to what you all think you know of the Cincinnati Bengals, they have some great citizens on this team. A few bad apples have just cast a negative light on them. Every other team has it’s problems too…
