I have always loved Favre and was very disappointed about his decision to not play one more year, but now that he has retired, and ESPN ran their eulogy-type 24-hour coverage of him for an entire week, he needs to stay retired. Him coming back now, whether it be for the Packers or a different team, will subject him to alot of warranted critisism that will hurt his overall legacy. As a GB fan it has been conflicting this offseason, because as great as Favre was this past year, I am excited to finally see what we have in Rodgers. It would be unfair to put the Packers in a position to ask them for his job back in a couple of months, and I just can't fathom seeing Favre "un-retiring" to play for a team that doesn't have a very legitamate shot at a SB, and Green Bay has the best chance of any team that doesn't need a QB to get there IMHO.
