The web site that surely saw a dramatic spike in traffic last week, thanks to a stream of images featuring Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart, has ensnared a football player other than Leinart.

Our sister site, CollegeFootballTalk, has the details.

Sorry for not posting the details here.  It’s a subtle ploy (okay, not subtle) aimed at making CFT one of your daily stops.

The more you frequent it, the more money we can make off it, the more resources we can devote to it, the more stuff we can put on it, the more you’ll want to check it out (hopefully).  If that snowball effect sounds familiar, PFT started out nearly seven years ago as a two-to-three-posts-per-day early-morning hobby that grew only because the audience (and thus the cash) increased.

Don’t get us wrong; we like what we do.  But with bloggers dropping dead, can you blame us for trying to make enough money to buy the pine box in which we’ll spend eternity, without WiFi?
