As his former West Virginia University teammate Pacman Jones tries to get back into the NFL, Bengals receiver Chris Henry might be trying to get out.
According to media reports, Henry has been charged with assault. He allegedly was involved in a fight on Monday, and he faces counts of assault and criminal damaging.
An 18-year-old claims that Henry smashed his car windshield and punched him in the face. Henry says that it wasn’t him.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Henry for eight games in 2007, and reportedly put Henry on a zero-tolerance/last-chance arrangement.

Haha, just TODAY on Sirius NFL, a Bengals DL guy (Peko? I think) was saying how so far so good this off season and how the team is drastically trying to change their bad boy image and respect marvin lewis. So much for that.

Some young kid may be gold digging, but Henry clearly puts himself in places where this “mistaken identity” could happen. I guess I would believe him if he could prove he was a state away. Oh well, enjoy the CFL, Chris.

To be fair, he has been the target of false accusations and police harassment before (for example, he was pulled over for failure to signal - when does that EVER happen?!). I’ll suspend my judgment for a few days and see what happens.

Just when Cincy needed as many receivers as possible in with Carson it is possible #3 is out?
………..I don’t think this is going to work out of Cincy at all.
I heard that piece yesterday with Domato Peko as well regarding the “bad boy image”. So far, not a good off season for the Bengals.
Here is hoping Odell Thurman can keep himself out of trouble…..this just in………………

I would like to know if they actually know each other. If not, how is this kid going to 100% for sure know the difference between Henry and any other tall black guy. It simply doesn’t make sense for this to be entirely random. What was Henry doing at that kids apartment complex? Does he know anybody that actually lives there? For some reason, I doubt that a professional football player that gets six figure checks on the regular will be loitering at a cheap apartment complex. Yeah, the kid got busted up.. but this just screams set-up unless they actually know each other and/or Henry knows somebody that lives there.
