The Indianapolis Colts will christen their new stadium in Week One of the 2008 regular season via a Sunday night game on NBC.
The NFL announced on Monday that the Colts will host the Chicago Bears, in what will be a rematch of Super Bowl XLI.
In Super Bowl XLI, the Colts defeated the Chicago Bears in February 2007 in Miami.

Anyone else think these games stink?
Only one that looks appealing is the GB/Minn.

Simdogga77, yes these games stink…throw in Kornheiser, and they blow.
In 2007, they also released the Fox afternoon game. Wonder why that one wasn’t released yet?

Seeing Al Davis being hauled off in a rubber paddy wagon, would be the only reason to watch this team *sigh*!

I was hoping for a primetime Colts opener… I may hate the team, but the new stadium looks very nice. NBC is going to have a lot eye candy shots to choose from.

Big winners in all of this are CBS and FOX who don’t lose the Patriots and Cowboys.

Is this a potential “consolation prize” to Indianapolis in anticipation of the Super Bowl being awarded to a warm weather sight?

I can’t wait for the Green Bay Packers/Vikings game.
For the first time since 1992, someone other than Brett Favre will assume the quarterback position. Crazy stuff.

That game may have been looked forward to a year ago. Then again though the Saints and Colts game was looked forward to so who knows. Maybe it’s the beginning of the end for the Colts season….riiiiight.

This game will be over by halftime. This woulda of been a great game to ship overseas to bore the foreigners with so that stop getting regular season games(BS). At least its not the Thursday night opener.
