Jerry Jones is playing this just right.

Fisher and the Titans are on crack if they think anyone is going to give multiple picks for Jones in his current state.
Dude is not even allowed to practice or play.

Moss was given up for a 4th but at least he was eligible to play football. He was also in a position to make $7mill.

Pac-Man Jones will be in Dallas but it won't be for more than a 7th and a pack of gum.

The Titans are in a no lose situation here...trade him for what they are asking or let him sit there until a better offer comes along. The offer of a 7th round pick is a complete joke and JJ knows it...lest we forget the guy was is a car salesman.

I Think The Bucs Should Make A Bid For Him. He'd Be Perfect In Tampa. Bucs Need Help At Corner And Instantly Becomes One Of The Best Returners The Bucs Have Ever Had. And He'd Come Pretty Cheap. A Draft Pick This Year And Next Isn't Too Bad. Plus There's A Couple Of Veterans In The Locker Room That Would Keep Him In Line. And The Best Thing Of All, The Best Two Strip Clubs In Tampa Are Less Than A Mile Away From Ray Jay And Team Headquarters. Best Of Both Worlds For This Guy. Come On Gruden And Allen Make It Happen. GO BUCS!

"2nd Rounder in 2009? Randy Moss goes for a 4th Rounder, and you think Pacman should go for multiple picks to include possibly a 2nd Rounder in 2009?

Florio, love your site more than you’ll ever know, but put down the pipe…"

If you tried to trade Randy Moss today, you almost surely could get a 1st round draft pick (nothing lower than a 2nd, imo). The reason Randy went for a 4th last year is because the perception was that he had lost a step as well as having character issues. The perception about Pacman is that he hasn't lost a stop, and that he still is a top corner in the league. Whether he is a top corner or not is debatable, but that is why a 2nd for him is reasonable given Florio's stipulations.

The Titans are being smart in trying to maximize what they receive in compensation for Pacman Jones. Why should they reward Pacman by trading him to the Cowboys for nothing (7th rounder) to a team he wants to play for? How does that help the Tennessee Titans? The smart move is to wait until Jones is reinstated then see if better offers come in. Remember the Cowboys aren’t the only stupid team in the league.

Well at least the turd man will have time to frequent some of Dallas' best strip joints while he's waiting for the deal to get done. Probably also a good time to get his posse together to be sure they're fully armed.

I'm not sure you can say that the "Titans" chose Pacman...more likely it was Floyd Reese that chose the turd. Of course, I think the only reason the Cowboys haven't hired Reese is that they already have someone in place that when it comes to the draft couldn't smell a turd if it was under his nose...that would be the guy who would be responsible for hiring in the first place...JJ.

I hate the Titans.. but they are playing this one right. Jerry has tipped his hand and Tennessee has no plans to just GIVE him what he wants for a ham sandwich in return. By forcing the Cowboys to sacrifice a little more than they'd like to, Fisher and Co. are looking to save face for neglecting to do their homework with a polished turd they drafted in the top 10.
