Stephen Ross now officially owns half of the Miami Dolphins.
On Monday, the league’s owners unanimously approved the transfer of 50 percent of the franchise from Wayne Huizenga to Ross, according to Sirius NFL Radio.
Huizenga has owned the team since 1994. It’s expected that Ross eventually will acquire majority ownership of the team. For now, Huizenga remains in charge of the operations.

I thought Parcells wouldn’t take the jobs if there was ownership issues. I wonder if the big tuna finishes out his contract.

I’m pretty sure Parcells had already signed after Huizenga announced Ross was going to be the new majority owner - which was announced a while ago. This was a done deal, all it required was approval from the other owners (which is largely a formality).
The only way there would have been an “issue” would be if for some oddball reason, the owners decided not to approvel the sale to Ross.

who says there are ownership issues,this just might be the plan from the get go.maybe mr. parcells and mr. ross have a greater plan in mind,they just don’t want to share it with us right now.

Uh guess what…The Tuna knew about this and had no problems with this…Wayne is keeping control of the team for at least 2 years before selling the rest of his control…Which round year 3 is when a lot of people in South FLA think the Tuna is leaving….Its not that big of a deal…

Parcells specifically mentioned that he knew H. Wayne was looking for someone else to invest in the team. It was the rumored full sale to Perez that he was concerned about.
