A judge today ordered former Steelers wide receiver Cedrick Wilson to undergo an eight-week anger management program after he was charged with hitting the mother of his daughter last week, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review is reporting.
Pending Wilson’s completion of the program, the judge could dismiss the charges of harassment, simple assault and disorderly conduct or hold Wilson for trial.
The Steelers cut Wilson after the incident. He is now working out in Arizona in the hopes that another team will give him a chance, and the judge said he can take the anger management classes there.
Whether another team will give Wilson a chance is questionable. Last season he caught just 18 passes for 207 yards, and as the Steelers have shown, if you want to keep your job in the NFL despite getting into off-field trouble, you’d better be more than just a marginal player.

Good job not letting the Steelers off easy on the Harrison/Wilson contrast… I caught the subtle reference there.
