The Houston Texans have announced the acquisition of safety Nick Ferguson.
Ferguson spent the last five seasons with the Broncos, appearing in twelve games and starting seven of them in 2007. In 2005, he started all 16 games.
Prior to joining the Broncos, Ferguson spent three years with the Jets. Before that, he spent four seasons bouncing around the CFL.
He is the sixth new player that the Texans have signed via veteran free agency.

I’m sorry, every time I see the name “Ferguson” I can’t help but think of the Celebrity Jeopardy episode with Terd Ferguson. What were you saying?

So taking a look at the Texans free agent signings.. Kubiak got two former Broncos in Ferguson and G Chris Myers. They signed TE Mark Breuner, DE Ndukwe Kalu, LB Kevin Bentley and RB Chris Brown. Anyone else unimpressed?

So this, and drafting a safety that can cover will net you one safety that will actually make the roster. This is simply fodder for the roster.
