Well, the NFL no longer has a player named after a popular Hollywood canine of the 1970s.
Titans guard Benji Olson is retiring, according to Terry McCormick of the Nashville City Paper. Olson was a fifth-round draft pick of the Tennessee Oilers in 1998, and he is one of only two players who have remained with the franchise since the team won the AFC title in 1999, the same year that the “Titans” nickname was adopted. (The other player who has been on the team since that year is punter Craig Hentrich; defensive end Jevon Kearse, a rookie in 1999, recently returned after a four-year departure.)
Olson started 13 games at guard in 2007. The other starting guard, Jacob Bell, left via free agency. The Titans recently signed guard Jake Scott, formerly of the Colts.

First Jacob Bell leaves, then the Titans get some help with Jake Scott, and now with Benji gone we’re back at square one.
Also did the organization not know that Benji might retire? If they did why the #$&% did they let Bell go?
I love Fisher and Heimerdinger but I hope they can make all these changes work, b/c from an outside perspective it really looks like we’re losing a lot and not really signing anybody.
