Uh … why do I feel like Klecko showed up at the Nova Care Complex sloshing around 270 and Capn' Andy told Heckert to get on the F^$%#*! phone and find a blocking fullback … NOW!!!

Big Red is Andy Reid. And there was no fullback involved with the running back committee. The third back was Correll Buckhalter. No fullback has even had his hands on the ball since Cecil Martin. But back to the committee, there is no way the Eagles will go in that direction. Westbrook is too good to limit his time on the field. He will be on the field almost every down getting 20-25 carries a game. All other backs will amount for about 5 carries a game at the most. Whoever wins the fullback job will strictly be used for blocking and maybe have 10 receptions on the season.

Big Red == Andy Reid.

The fullback was either Jon Ritchie or Cecil Martin that year, but Buckhalter was the third head on that monster.

Pardon my ignorance, but who is "Big Red"?

I like the thought process of getting more depth and more youth for the Eagles. I think Klecko and Wilson have the potential to do great things with the offense and confuse defenses. Remember the running back by commitee year- Deuce, Westbrook and Some Full back, his name escapes me. Still need a solid WR, although I love Kevin Curtis, we need a BIG target for the long ball.

Wilson could turn out to be a good investment as a backup to L.J. "The kids called me Mr. Glass" Smith. Because of Klecko's motivation he will never be more than just a guy. If you believe "Patriot Reign", the Pats rated him as having the best hands of any D-line prospect in the draft. The problem is he can't control his weight. He's 5'11" and is usually listed at 275-280. When the Pats moved him to MLB in 2004 he couldn't/wouldn't get his weight down. The Colts seemed like they'd be a good fit -- undersized d-lineman on a Tampa 2 team -- but he appeared to be pushing 300 on his relatively small frame. So Philly either wants a shorter, whiter version of Refrigerator Perry, or they have unrealistic expectations of him getting below 270 to be an effective fullback.

Kris will be a TE...the #3 TE. He'll also be a contributor on STs. Nothing fancy, but an upgrade over Matt Schobel.

As a Chiefs fan, he's nothing to get excited about. He's a converted TE out of desperation because our starting FB got hurt that year. Not that great of a blocker, and his hands aren't exactly solid either. Maybe he'll fit better in Philly, but I don't know a single KC fan that is sad to see this guy leave town.

I think I understand Big Red's thinking on this one...he's going to make Wilson the FB and convert Klecko into a KR/PR return specialist. Once again he's outsmarted the rest of the league!

The Bucs were going to sign him, but were afraid that Herm would be putting out more cheating charges against them.

This league is all about depth. Just ask the Giants. Wilson was part of a much different offense than what he'll be running in Philly. If the Iggles can find a strong WR in the coming months, Wilson could be the guy to find the soft spots in a defense to move the chains. In reality, he's still gonna be fighting for playing time. But everyone must have a role to play.

First of all I agree it's not a very exciting signing and I don't know anything about the guy BUT it still has to be a better move then Ian Scott, Bethel Johnson or Montea Reagor who were among our signings last year. Other than Takeo they were all busts and even he wound down by the end of the year, which is why he isn't here any longer either. All in all, I feel good about their moves so far this year but I'm still on the WR bandwagon (I can't help it, LOL).
