For at least the third time since free agency opened, an agent is denying media reports that his client has agreed to terms with a new team.
In every other case, the player eventually agreed to terms with the team in question.
This time around, agent Karl Bernard disputes that defensive tackle Anthony “Booger” McFarland has reached an agreement with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
McFarland last played for the Colts in 2006. He missed the entire 2007 season with a knee injury, and the Colts released him last month.
Bernard says that a number of teams have expressed interest in the 1999 first-round pick, who was traded from Tampa Bay to Indy in 2006.
