Isn't that what this whole things about, that the team made promises to him and they were never kept. Plus look at the Pete Kendell situation, he was supposed to get a new deal(according to Kendell) and look how that situation played out. As for Dewayne Robertson, the man Herm Edwards once termed "a bowling ball with knives," perhaps the Jets should try dealing him to the Chiefs. Why would he now show up for workouts under the principle that "assurances" have been made for a new contract or trade now?
