Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth did not show up today when the team began its off-season conditioning program.

Haynesworth’s agent, Chad Speck, said, “Albert has not signed his tender and therefore will not be participating in the Titans’ off-season program at this time.”

That’s not a surprise, but the use of the phrase “at this time” is another sign that Haynesworth may be considering signing his tender offer.

This off-season has already seen two players sign their franchise tenders, Panthers offensive lineman Jordan Gross and Bengals offensive lineman Stacy Andrews.  If Haynesworth becomes the third, it may be a sign that players and their agents are starting to accept that the franchise tag — and the high guaranteed base salary that goes along with it — somewhat more favorably.
