Earlier this afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles announced that free-agent linebacker Rocky Boiman was visiting.
And the team has now announced that Boiman is under contract.
It’s a one-year deal for veteran linebacker, who spent 2007 with the Colts.
He’s slightly less famous in Philly than another guy with the same first name and last initial, but at least this Rocky B. is, you know, a real person.

Holy Smackers, Cheese and Crackers! Rocky Boiman! That is just awesome. I am really glad that the defense is going to be stocked with young, fast, talent, however, I am pining over a WR of the same monumental “stature” as the first Rocky! I think the statue of Rocky has better hands than Reggie Brown though.

While I like the addition of a good special teams player and some extra depth at linebacker, it would be really nice to see the Eagles paying some love to the offense. Maybe in the draft. I would love to see Limas Sweed get drafted by the Iggles.
