It seems apparent to many NFL observers that Bengals receiver Chad Johnson will, if he’s not traded, be a complete pain in the butt once the team convenes for mandatory offseason activities and/or training camp.
But a league source tells us that the players in Cincy aren’t worried about it. They’re not worried about it because the man who calls himself Ocho Cinco (and whom we call Ocho Stinko) has always been a pain in the butt. So, as the players see it, this year won’t be any different.
Still, we think it will be different this time. In the past, Johnson has always practiced and played hard, regardless of how he has behaved. Moving forward, we think he’ll be lollygagging and half-assing and incurring harsh words from the coaching staff and responding to such harsh words and otherwise setting the stage for another T.O.-style fiasco.

great, just what we need, another P.O.! Granted, he probably won’t cry like a teenage girl left at the prom if his QB loses a playoff game.

Say what you want about the dude, as far as his antics, but lollygagging? Half-assing? You say he’s always played and practiced hard, which is true, and why I think your other remarks are laughable, at best. You may turn out to be prophetic on this one, but that won’t change the fact that you were out of line here, even offering an ‘opinion’.

Once Marvin is sh-t canned, a new coach will have the sack to send this clown walking…

Randy Moss was in the best possible position to get traded. If you remember, Moss had 2 back-to-back years where he played very average or poorly. Hence, why he was able to be traded for a 4th rounder… his value was low, even though everyone except Al Davis knew he was damn good.
Meanwhile, Chad Johnson keeps putting up big numbers and going to the Pro-Bowl. If you want to get traded, maybe Johnson should have feigned that he was no longer any good.

Their not worried because they know Chad’s just rattling his sabre after a disappointing season. When the season starts, 85 will be playing, once again, for the Bengals.

I don’t think Johnson can go through the motions when the practices and the games matter. He’s neither as calculating nor as shrewd as Terrell Owens. When called upon, he’ll play to the best of his ability, even if he’d rather be doing it somewhere other than Cincinnati.
