The rationale behind determining the "value" of a player in dollars seems undefined and highly subjective at best. To see the money the Raiders paid Tommy Kelly or what an unproven rookie gets based on his draft position shows that there is a sick game played by agents and owners. It obviously is benefiting both sides because they not only continue it, they dramatically raise the stakes at every turn. Does the NFL economy risk inflation the same way the "real" economy does?
