go screw, a Passionate Fan,

the teams record, what you're referring to, was abysmal. Look at Marino's game stats, thats another thing....

"How can a list of the seven best quarterbacks of all time omit Dan Marino?"

Loses credibility by leaving of 13 & the other QB's mentioned above. But then again, stuff like this is opinion.

I agree with Go Screw above. Marino was a better regular season quarterback than he was a postseason one. The list is fine.

If there's someone to blame for Marino's lack of a ring, it's the front office for not providing a running game to compliment that golden arm. Lorenzo Hampton, Mark Higgs, Sammie ("I got yer 8 ball right here") Smith, Bernie Parmalee, J.J. Johnson and Karim Abdul-Jabbar just didn't get it done. Talk about one-dimensional.

I think the list is pretty good. As far as Marino torching the Bills. He has a career record of 15-18 regular season and another awesome 1-3 post season record. For '88-99 he was 9-18 with post season. So coloradokevin most of those bombs were off target. Marino never got it done in the post season. That's why he was great but not immortal.

I was going to say the same thing about Buffalo being the source, but Brady /was/ on the list, so I didn't.

If Marino's excluded because of championships then you have to include Terry Bradshaw because of his 4 superbowl wins and also Roger Staubach and Bart Starr deserve consideration.

Before I even read that article, I see that it is from the Buffalo News (a city that I live in). So of course, not only is it going to omit a player who is easily top 5 considering all the records he used to own, but without reading it, I guarantee that it will include that asshole Jim Kelly, who not only failed to win a single Super bowl appearance in 4 tries, but also has inflated stats from the stacked teams that he had, and was awfully average when he didn't have them. If I'm wrong, then let Joe Namath whisper sweet nothings into my ear.

Regarding the Marino exclusion... I wouldnt rank him on the list of top 7 either. I never saw half these guys play, but Super Bowls count.

ahh yes -- the ex-Dolphin starting lineup. I rag on Dolphin fans all the tima about Chambers, Welker and McMichael being better than most teams' starting pass catchers.
However, Florio - you won't want to hear this - but the ex-Marlin lineup is much more staggering.

Bart Starr's 5 titles might take issue with that arbitrary list of greatest QBs.

How can a list of the seven best quarterbacks of all time omit Dan Marino?

Easy - it was written by some joker from a Buffalo news rag. He selectively forgets a 17 year period in which Marino bombed his secondary. What a joke...and you wonder why no one takes Buffalo seriously.
