Well . . . it’s different. I’m a bit confused by three things. 1) The Chiefs passing on a LT when they’ve already spent some draft picks on DT in recent years. 2) The Eagles taking a LB when they have spent a lot of picks on LB in the last few years as well. 3) The Seahawks taking Brohm, although this one makes the most sense out of the three with Wallace seemingly moving to WR.

No way does Green Bay take Flacco in the first round, just because Favre retired does not mean that they are desperate for a QB and Flacco is a real reach at no.30.

cowboys have too many linebackers as it is and I can’t see them taking a safety in the first round either.

The Cowboys need to replace Roy Williams. So I can see them taking a safety, although I wasn’t aware DeJuan Morgan would be rated ahead of Kenny Phillips. However, someone really needs to explain to me the logic of the Cheifs passing on Jake Long.

Interesting mock that seems like it was just made to stand out above the rest. Can’t see the Falcons using another top-10 selection on a defensive end; defensive tackle or offensive tackle makes a lot more sense for them. There’s a few particular selections that I really like, but the mock needs some work.
There’s no reason behind having Ryan Clady over Jake Long, nor is there any for having Letroy Guion in the first round. I’m under a supposition here that you know something the rest of the public doesn’t know, because Guion really is a stretch to crack the first round, he’s also a defensive tackle, not a linebacker. Devin Thomas, wide receiver from Michigan State, would be someone I’d expect the Cowboys to take instead of Guion.

I don’t see the Eagles taking a linebacker in the first round AT ALL. With the needs in the secondary, offensive line, and receiving corps, they won’t take a linebacker first.
Also, I’m not sure about Sedrick Ellis going 2nd overall. He’s a good player. But 2nd? Ahead of Dorsey?

Guion would definitely be a stretch as he’s more a 4th or 5th rounder IMO and wouldn’t be anywhere near the most talented DT left.
I’m also sure Harvey would be curious to discover he’s now a Nole.
I also can’t seen both the Panthers and the Bears going for 1st round RB’s with the depth at that position and with Otah and Balmer still on the board.

No way any of the following things happen;
- Clady over Jake Long
- Long falling to #9
- Seattle spending a 1st on a QB
- Green Bay spending a 1st on a QB
- Carolina taking Stewart while Mendenhall is still on the board.

So you don’t have OG Albert as a 1st round pick? I see the Seahawks taking him way before Brohm. However I can see Brohm getting picked at 25 with Seattle sliding down the draft for more picks. Atlanta has 3 picks in the 2nd now and I could see them trading up to get Brohm or Flacco so they can ruin another QB with their crappy Oline and horrible recievers.

Because of fossils Pace & Ogden, Jake Long wont make it past St. Louis & Baltimore. But even if he did, the Bengals wouldnt get him. If not Ellis or Dorsey then probably a LB.
Stewart, Mendenhall, then Jones?
Jacksonville used a 1st pick last year on R.Nelson. Another FL safety?

The Cowobys have already come out and said that they will not draft a Linebacker at all in the draft, and there is no safety in the plans either. This is one of the worst mocks I’ve seen from a realistic standpoint but it’s a little more entertaining.

Yeah, and the Cowboys also said last year that they would never pick a kicker in the draft either. And I believe they did. Not to say it is gonna happen, but never say never.
Interesting 1st round anyway.

I’m holding out hope that the Saints can continue to spread the injury rumors about Dorsey. The more people that pass on him, the more likely he becomes a Saint.

The Bills taking Chris Williams 11th overall??
First of all we have a pro-bowl LT in Jason Peters, second of all we just paid $25 Million to Langston Walker at RT who had a great year. This pick makes no sense at all…
Patriots taking Clady when they have one of the best OL in football?
The Bengals have Levi Jones, Willie Anderson and franchised Stacey Andrews this year…. there’s no way they dont address defense with their first pick.
knowing PFT they are probably just kidding around with this mock…

Have to disagree with the Cowboy picks. It will be CB, RB, WR and most likely a RB first. A lot will depend on if Jerry Jones can actually trade for Pacman Jones and Roy Williams WR although based on past experiences usually Jerry gets what Jerry wants.
Could see Jerry trying to trade up for McFadden, just not sure it will really happen. One thing most of us have forgot are Jeff Ireland comments about the 22nd pick being just as valuable as the 1st pick. Seems a bit confusing how Jerry basically let Parcells do whatever he wanted with the staff and some players. Just a bit to easy for me plus Parcells wants Parcells guys and if you look at the Dallas roster there are still a few that Parcells drafted or signed that he just might want. For example, Anthony Fasano, Pat McQuistan, Terry Glenn, Joe Berger, Pat Watkins just to name a couple. So will a trade be in the works once Parcells trades Jason Taylor draft day or before, have to believe something will be up.

No way J. Long falls past the Chiefs at #5. After the pathetic draft record of DT’s the last few years (Ryan Sims, Junior Siavii, Eddie Freeeman, Eric Downing, shall I go on?) they won’t touch DT with a ten foot pole in the first round.

Why would the Pats take Ryan Clady instead of Jake Long? Long would be a great eventual replacement for the highly overated Matt Light. I’d rather him learn to play Right Tackle for a year or two and then move him over when Light’s done.

The Titans will not draft a Wide Receiver in the 1st round. Maybe in the second or third round. VY needs some help, but it is hard to have a rook hit it in the 1st year….

The Chargers won’t take a RB in round one. Look for an OL to groom as right guard Goff’s replacement, or a NT due to Jamal Williams’s age, or a rush DE as a “wave” player, or a CB for the nickel.
The Chargers will find a RB later in the draft.

Joe Flacco is not a first rounder ‘ovah here. See Questionable footwork.
At best he is an early second round guy say picks 34-38 may be Balt.
If Long is there at #8 the Ravens snag him ‘ova here.

no way the patriots take ryan clady, theyll either trade down, take a corner or a rush end/linebacker
if the rams were to go dt they would go with dorsey not ellis
there is no way after the toe injury that stewart will go in front of mendenhall
kenny phillips will be the first safety taken, reggie smith will not even touch smell the first round
the bills will not draft a OT, they are pretty much set at LT with Jason Peters
way too high for kentwan balmer, but the lions are stupid

Why on earth would the Jags take FS Kenny Phillips the year after they used a 1st round pick on FS Reggie Nelson? While there is a slim chance they could experiment with Nelson at Corner during camp (several months after the draft), we already know now that neither Phillips or Nelson are big enough to play Strong Safety, and that double-digit Millions in guaranteed money sitting on the sideline for the majority of a rookie contract is just bad business; especially considering Jacksonville’s needs along the D-Line. While I agree Phillips would be the BAP at 26, I would questions Jacksonville taking another Free Safety almost as much as if the Lions were to grab a receiver, or the Browns a Quarterback.
