But his promotion proves both the value of playing along for Frazier, and in a roundabout way the effectiveness of the rule itself. Sure he's not a head coach yet, but without the interviews the Vikings don't feel the pressure to make the promotion - no matter how deserved it was. And now that he has the Assistant HC title, he's lined up behind Brad Childress, who is likely still on the hot seat.
