Many considered Leslie Frazier's interviews for head coach at Miami and Atlanta to be tips of the cap to the Rooney rule, and merely ceremony. But his promotion proves both the value of playing along for Frazier, and in a roundabout way the effectiveness of the rule itself. Sure he's not a head coach yet, but without the interviews the Vikings don't feel the pressure to make the promotion - no matter how deserved it was. And now that he has the Assistant HC title, he's lined up behind Brad Childress, who is likely still on the hot seat.

I guess Tatum Bell thinks the Lions aren't going to draft Mendenhall or Stewart.

He's wrong.

Regarding the retirement of Favre's number, I'm guessing it will occur in WK1. As such, here are my predictions for WK1 NFL Games:
Thursday night, Cowboys at Giants
Sunday night (Madden/Favre Love Fest), Colts at Packers
Monday night, Patriots at Chargers

...and we're only in March...
