At a time when the Pittsburgh Steelers are coming under increased local pressure for a recent rash of incidents involving allegations of violence against women, Steelers receiver Cedrick Wilson has committed an act of violence against a woman.  Allegedly.

Wilson was arrested Wednesday after allegedly striking his ex-girlfriend, Lindsey Paulat.  He was taken to night court, where he was awaiting charges of simple assault, harassment, and disorderly conduct.

In January, a dispute between Wilson and Paulat resulted in an armed standoff between Paulat and local police.  Wilson and Paulat eventually resolved their differences via shared custody of their daughter and a “no-contact” order.

So much for the no-contact.

And thus the “days without an arrest” meter re-sets to zero, and the Steelers will pick up some points in Turd Watch II, once the actual charges are sorted out.
