Veteran NFL quarterback Gus Frerotte, released by the St. Louis Rams last month, is drawing interest from a division in which he has plenty of prior experience.

Frerotte visited the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday, and is scheduled to visit the Minnesota Vikings.

He previously has played for the Lions and the Vikings.

It might be easier to list the NFL teams for which the 14-year veteran hasn’t played, but Frerotte doesn’t have much (if any) experience in the West Coast offense, which both the Packers nad the Vikings currently run.  When Frerotte was last in Minnesota, the team was running a different offense.

In both places, he’d be the backup.  But given the durability (or lack thereof) of Packers starter Aaron Rodgers and the development (or lack thereof) of Vikings starter Tarvaris Jackson, Frerotte probably would end up on the field at some point in either city.
