Former Jags quarterback Quinn Gray, who not long ago visited the Packers, will next spend time with the Houston Texans.
Per a league source, Gray will visit the Texans on Sunday.
The Texans already have Matt Schaub and Sage Rosenfels at the top two positions; Gray’s best bet would be to secure the No. 3 spot on the depth chart.
Unless the Texans are interested in revisiting trade talks with the Vikings regarding Rosenfels. Last month, the Vikes were willing to give up a third-round pick for Rosenfels, but the Texans wanted a second-rounder.

Yeah, you’d think that Gray would view Green Bay as a better opportunity to play, compared to Houston. Or even Minnesota. If he did sign with Houston, you’d have to think that Rosenfels would be gone; but I think Rosenfels fit Kubiak’s system well last year and with Schaub’s inability to stay healthy, they need to have someone of reliable talent behind him when he goes down.

Some backups you can tell are good when they were in that position. Tony Romo. David Gerrard. Matt Schaub or Sage Rosenfels you can tell can play. Jeff Garcia. Aaron Rodgers. Steve Young. Brett Favre. This story should perhaps not even qualify for PFT’s rumor mill…
… Quinn Gray stinks. The end.
(Mike, if Gray becomes a good starter someday, I want this comment permanently deleted.)
