As former Detroit Lions cornerback Fernando Bryant continues to sort through his options, a league source tells us that Bryant could end up filling one of the voids created by the departure from New England of Asante Samuel and Randall Gay.
Bryant currently is in New England, visiting the Patriots.
Per the source, the nine-year veteran also has an offer on the table with the Denver Broncos.

Well, I would hope that Belichick would want to start someone other than Jason Webster and Ellis Hobbs. Either may be serviceable, but NE really needs to add a stronger player to the mix. Regardless of where they end up drafting in round one, I would be surprised if NE went anywhere other than CB. But even then, you can’t expect a rookie to pick up Belichick’s schemes right off the bat.
Ty Law would offer less of a learning curve and could fill as a stopgap.

Well, Bill certainly has a habit of getting by with garbage DB’s.
