Multiple sources tell us that Troy Vincent is out as the president of the NFL Players Association.

Per two sources, Vincent’s term was up.  It’s unknown whether Vincent attempted to continue his term.  Though he did not play pro football in 2007, players are eligible to be members of the union (and thus to be the president of it) if they are actively seeking employment as a player with an NFL club.

There’s a rumor that his options include a position as a V.P. with Players Inc., the marketing arm of the NFLPA.

Many league observers believe that Vincent has designs on succeeding NFLPA Executive Director Gene Upshaw, who makes multiple millions of dollars each year.

We’re trying to find out who’ll replace Vincent.
