While this is a cr*p load of money, you could argue the Raiders now have the best secondary in the league since this also instantly takes pressure off the safety position.

I also think Russell will make big strides now that he'll have the benefit of going through the entire off-season program.

A little more line help on both sides of the ball could help this team to a dramatic improvement this season.

For the love of that is Silver and Black please God NO!

I have no problem signing the guy but he is not worth that much. He is not big enough to be effective against the big strong receivers. he is going to have trouble stuffing them on the line. Also he is a guy that gets burned as much as he makes plays. Then you throw in his attitude and and the guy is not worht anywhere near that money. As a Raider fan I know the team owner has done more to create the NFL we have now then arguably anyone. However the man has lost his mind over the last decade and I look forward to the day he steps down.

Haters can knock this trade all they want but the fact remains D.Hall brings alot to the table. Yes things didn't work out in ATL but is that really all his fault or is he the convienent scapegoat given all the things that went wrong in ATL in 2007?? Hall is a perfect fit for the Raiders man coverage defense and his so called " bad attitude " should mesh well with the Raiders so called " bad boy " image. As far as the draft picks Oakland gave up , i'll take a known pro bowler over potential 2nd or 6th round bust any day. Last but not least , " Where is all this money coming from? " , Al Davis sold a small share of the Raiders recently to private partners and they got deep pockets. . Chances are Davis will sign Nnamdi Asomugha long term regargless , but might be banking on the up coming un capped season.

I wish I could believe the Raiders Shipping out Hall and their #3 to the Cowboys for their first round picks, but I just don't think the Raiders have that mental capacity.

What if they ship out Asomugha to the Cowboys?

some how I think they might have a deal in place with the cowboys that would send the Raiders 1st rounder to Dallas for their 2 1st rounders...I dont know why but I just think that is the case

Why are the Raiders paying a disgruntled overrated Cornerback this type of money when they could have just dished this money out to the best Cornerback in the NFL (who happens to be on their roster), Nmandi Asomugha. I just don't understand the Raiders logic (oxymoron right there). All I know is that after this Hall deal, they better lock up Asomugha because what type of message does that send to Asomugha? In an offseason when the Raiders are willing to pay 55 million dollars to a WR who might need microfracture surgery, and 52 million for an unproven DT that has had problems staying healthy his entire career, they don't wanna pay arguebly the best cornerback in the league?? That's a head-scratcher.

Where are they getting this money?? They are setting themselves up for a salary cap nightmare down the road. Most the teams that have done this in the past at least managed to win some games first.....

The Raiders have overpaid all off season. Looks like the did it again. But this time it cost them draft picks also.
