However, I have heard current and former GMs say that they love to work with him. They call him the deal maker because of his ability to sit down and strike a deal that is favorable for both sides. His work ethic speaks for itself, but he seems to "get" what his business is about. And that's getting deals done and not gouging so you can live off a deal here and there. Drew Rosenhaus has, over the last ~5-6 years, generated a lot of negative press for himself, but I always thought he seemed like a really hard worker and a successful negotiator. Various news magazine profiles of the Rosenhauses I've watched have bouyed my positive opinion of them. If I was an elite athlete (instead of, say, a flabby 34 year-old spectator), Rosenhaus would be my first call. $440 million in contracts in one off-season is a staggering sum.
