While Garrard is extremely good at avoiding costly turnovers, he doesn't have anywhere near Romo's big-play ability. And while some of that has to do with receivers some of it, well, doesn't.

The $ won't be the same as Romo, but c'mon, David Garrard's gotta cash in HUGE, and rightfully so. He's darn good; I think anyone can see that.

Garrard will get what he deserves. More than a paltry $9M over 4 yrs (what is he Gus Frerotte?), but not quite that silly Romo money. And as to the notion that Garrard hasn't "done anything" yet. Um... he won a playoff game which is more than Romo can say.

There's a difference between Garrard and Romo. Garrard can't possibly get a contract
that is similar to Romo's.

Garrard is 30 years old, Romo is 27, Romo is entering his prime, Garrard will improve
slightly but quickly begin his the inevitable downhill spiral in physical ability.

Plus, Garrard hasn't done anything, Romo had Pro Bowl numbers both years he started.

I say Garrard gets a 4 year deal, worth $9M per year.
