The general consensus on LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey is that he’s a great talent when healthy, but there are serious doubts about whether he can stay healthy.

So with health already the main question surrounding Dorsey, a report today on the Jaguars’ official web site is raising some eyebrows.

Vic Ketchman writes at Jaguars.com, “The risk with Dorsey is a mysterious knee injury.  Dorsey hasn’t run for the scouts and there’s suspicion that he’s undergone knee surgery.  Questions about his knee and speed must be answered prior to the draft.  The LSU pro day is set for March 26.  Dorsey is expected to be a top six pick.”

A knee injury slowed Dorsey down for much of the 2007 season, and a stress fracture raised red flags when Dorsey was examined in Indianapolis at the Scouting Combine.  If the “suspicion” that Dorsey also underwent a knee surgery recently turns out to be correct, it’s hard to envision a team spending a top six pick on Dorsey, no matter how great his talent.
