Well, he’s at it again.

A season after predicting (kind of) that the Detroit Lions would win ten games during the 2007 season, quarterback Jon Kitna has repeated his prediction (kind of) for 2008.

In an item from the Detroit Free Press , Kitna expresses (again) that he’d be disappointed with less than ten victories. Among other things, he points to the return of running back Tatum Bell in support of a belief that the Lions will be improved in 2008.

We don’t know what Kitna has been doing in the offseason, but we’re hoping that the doctors check him for, you know, seven or eight new concussions. We’re not saying the Lions won’t win ten games, but if they do it won’t be due to the exploits of Tatum Bell.

Last year, the Lions started 6-2 but finished 1-7.

Look, we’ve got no problem with optimism. Just keep it in the locker room. Otherwise, a guy risks being viewed as an even bigger doofis than he is.
