Running back Chris Brown, a third-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2003, has signed with the Houston Texans.

Brown hit free agency in 2007, but eventually returned to the Titans with a one-year deal.  After a 175-yard effort in Week One, Brown essentially disappeared.

In Houston, he joins a rotation that will feature Ahman Green, if Green can stay healthy, in an offense that features the zone-blocking system that has created a string of 1,000-yard runners in Denver.
