Cornerback Frank Walker has agreed to terms with the Ravens on a two-year deal, according to Adam Schefter of NFL Network.
Walker spent four years with the Giants before jumping to Green Bay in 2007. He appeared in 12 games last year, starting none.
Terms are not yet available.

Looks like the Packers may have a relapse in 08. Like Rogers said “I’m not Brett Favre.” Losing their nickel back isn’t going to help either.

You Viking… You’d wish Walker was that important to Packers. He is replaceable.

Frank Walker was not our nickel back, in fact he couldn’t beat about 3 other guys to be our nickel back, Jarrett Bush, Tramon Williams and Will Blackmon. Walker was used infrequently on defense, mostly on special teams, and would have been replaced by a draft pick anyways.

Frank Walker was not the Packers’ nickel back. He was a dime back and even then never better than 5th on the depth chart at CB! His departure was expected. As the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported today, “he expressed his dissatisfaction with 12.5% playing time on defense and having been declared inactive for the NFC Championship Game against his former team.”
He was serviceable, but it was clear that he was not in the Packer’s long-term plans.
I wish him the best of luck in Baltimore.

WOW!!! This is a HUGE signing for Baltimore. I don’t think I could’ve been more sarcastic.
They need three new cornerbacks. Chris gave up on routes last year, Rolle isn’t healthy, and no one else is over 5′11 and has any credibility.

I can’t imagine Walker would be anything more than a camp body for Baltimore. I think Thompson expected more from him last season, but he proved to be too slow and too unreliable to put out on the field on a regular basis. Questionable signing by Baltimore, but maybe he’s better suited for their defense. Although, I don’t think he’s very well suited for anyone’s defense.
Also, love to read the preseason hopefulness in the words of the poor, downtrodden Vikings fan. Cling to that hope, my purple friend!
