Rough doesn't even begin to describe it. Most offseasons for us are characterized by cautious optimism, but even that is no longer an option.

Unfortunately Julius Jones isn't an option because Seattle signed him. They'll cut Shaun Alexander...who the Lions can't afford to sign because they're up against the cap.

Agreed - Fire Millen.

If the lions sign julius jones and cut Kevin jones, the will have cut a guy they traded up to get and replaced him with a guy they could have had in their original spot.

Fire Millen.

Now if they trade Roy Williams, both of their 1st round picks from 04 will be off the roster and join the ranks of 1st round busts of Harrington, Charles Rogers and Mike Williams.

The first part of the rumor doesn't surprise me in the least, given two major injuries in consecutive seasons (Lisfranc, ACL). But I would be surprised if they released him right now, given that their options would be Tatum Bell, Aveion Cason and Brian Calhoun (gaaack!). That would pretty much telegraph to the rest of the league that they're picking a RB at #15 overall. At least wait until after the draft. But then, this is Millen we're talking about....
