In response to our posting of a rumor from Don Banks of SI.com that Raiders quarterback JaMarcus Russell is closing in on 300 pounds, a league source says that Russell isn’t close to 300 pounds, and that his weight is south of 275.
Russell’s listed weight is 255.
Last year, Russell caused a mini-stir at the Scouting Combine when he weighed in at a flabby 265 pounds.

Russell need to keep eatin’ em biscuits. If he works hard, he can top 300 by the end of camp. His money is guaranteed so life is a buffet. I hear Ryan Leaf is available for lunch. “Wafer thin mints” make a light refreshing dessert.
I’m sure Al Davis would love to mentioned in the same breath as Alex “No Lombardi Trophy” Spanos.
