After a week with apparently little interest for a special-teamer who has the itch to play some tailback but is caught behind Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts, Rock Cartwright . . . Cartwright! . . . has agreed to stay with the Redskins.

Per David Elfin of the Washington Times, it’s a three-year, $3.55 million million deal with a $300,000 signing bonus, a roster bonus of $300,000 due this year, and a roster bonus of $200,000 due in 2009.

In 2007, Cartwright had two carries for zero yards.
