It puts the cornerbacks on an island usually which is why they invested heavily in Asante Samuel. I personally think if they had a playmaker at LB it would make the eagles defense one of the top 3 in the league. Joe Banner and Big Red obviously disagree since outside Trotter the eagles have never had a pro bowl line backer.
