Though the news is dominated by the retirement of the man who seemingly just the other day was the kid from Mississippi with the big arm and the funny name, there are other transactions in the NFL.
Like first-round busts signing with new teams.
According to Adam Schefter of NFL Network, the Jaguars have got Jimmy Kennedy’s John Hancock on an offer sheet that will make him a member of the team if the Bears opt not to match it by Monday, March 10.
The Bears included a right of first refusal in the contract signed by Kennedy during the 2007 season.
Kennedy was a first-round pick of the Rams in 2003.
