As the Carolina Panthers try to put a couple of disappointing seasons behind them, they’ll be doing it with a reshuffled offensive line.
According to Steve Reed of CarolinaGrowl.com, the Panthers possibly will have a different starter at each offensive line position in 2008.
Right tackle Jordan Gross is likely being moved to left tackle. Travelle Wharton will slide to left guard. Ryan Kalil is the new center. Keydrick Vincent, signed by the team on Monday, will battle Justin Hartwig at right guard.
The right tackle is still to be determined, but could ultimately be a rookie drafted by the team in April.
There’s a chance, however, that a rookie tackle could play the left side, allowing Gross to stay at right tackle.
