Though Emmitt Smith of ESPN didn’t pull another “blew out . . . blown blowed out” out of his sack of sayings on Sunday morning, his extemporaneous speaking style allowed him to create the impression that he doesn’t realize that the winner of today’s games gets an automatic berth in the Super Bowl.

 It remains to be seen whether Emmitt will be back in Bristol for 2008.  Though he’s gotten better, he’s still not fit for television.  But maybe the ratings have gotten a boost as folks tune in simply for a chance to see/hear Emmitt’s newest butchering of the language.
