Rachelle Washington, the 35-year-old friend of Randy Moss who has filed a legal action against him, was the subject of an eviction attempt by her landlord within the past month, according to the Boston Herald.
In all, three separate landlords have tried to eject Washington over the past several years.
The Herald also reports that Moss’s Florida lawyer, Richard Sharpstein, will appear at a hearing scheduled for January 28 and request a continuance until Moss can appear. Since the purpose of the hearing is to make a temporary restraining order permanent, and because Moss is willing to abide by the temporary order until the hearing can be held, a continuance shouldn’t be a problem.
Looking at the thing more broadly, however, the best strategy might be to deny all allegations, but to agree to the permanent order. Given that the woman has allegedly tried to extort $500,000 from Moss, we can’t imagine that he’d be inclined to hang out with her in the offseason.
Meanwhile, someone contacted us on Friday by e-mail and offered photographs of Rachelle Washington. Given her apparent financial struggles, maybe it was Washington herself.
